My commentaries and analysis around trade ideas are often rooted in technical analysis and chart patterns. That part of my trading methodology helps identify “when” it’s time to buy.

But before technicals ever come into play, my initial screen starts with fundamentals focusing on high growth companies across sales and earnings coupled with strong analyst revisions. That informs “what” to buy.

Those fundamental attributes correlate well with trading chart breakouts and momentum patterns. And often times, earnings season will serve as the catalyst for a breakout as the financial outlook receives a boost. That brings me to the next addition to our Stock Trading Portfolio.
